Description:

This series appears to be typical trade literature, though it is not.

The material was gathered by ICE for a myrid of reasons; e.g. investigation, analysis, client requests/contracted, evaluation and litigation through ICE. It includes specific companies or products used by ICE in its operation.

ICE designated their own file number to a particular type of product or a specific manufacturer, and maintained these files for over twenty years.

The files hold a varied amount of information related to the semiconductor evolution: product specification sheets, articles on the different types of production, product line reports from an individual company, press releases from manufacturers, B&W and white and color photographs and slides of a product, and price listings.

One file may define the evolution of a specific product or manufacturer for over a twenty year period. ICE also kept correspondence, their own notes, and price quotes in these files.

Additionally, these files relate to the TASC files, Series 10 Government

   Specific Notes:

  1. The dates are not inclusive and only represent material that has a date actually on the material.
  2. When ICE's files have the same ICE file number they have been given the distinction (Part A) or (Part B) by the processor.
  3. Whenever possible company names were provided, however, at times there are two many to list.
  4. In some cases, product lists or specifications appear in more than one folder, repeating in separate ICE file designations.

This particular series is of great interest because of the depth & breadth of information it contains (as described above). Five of twenty-two 24" long shipping boxes have been processed, rehoused into acid free folders and identified. They are in 20 document boxes at this time (September 2000). When time permits additional information will be added to assist your research.
