Company Profiles:   In depth single publications related to specific companies in the design, development and fabrication of integrated circuits. There are about 75 individual profiles. For example the
INMOS COMPANY PROFILE, June 1983 provides a basic background, the founders... Petritz, Schroder and Baron. Specifically these three approached the National Enterprise Board (NEB) in 1977 then received $50 Million from the British Cabinet for initial funding. The administration change early in 1980 did more than change the name of the NEB to the British Technology Group. The new government under Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher questioned future investment for INMOS. However, after several months of uncertainty the BTG released the additional $50 Million in August 1980. INMOS gave birth to the TRANSPUTER in 1984....
The company processes, products, operating results, facilities’ addresses are made available. As are the management personalities, positions, titles flow charts and product descriptions with articles from their CEO to the designer(s).

Profiles:   A world wide survey of IC manufacturers and suppliers. The yearly single volume publication profiles over 175 IC companies. Each company’s profile covers: sales history, overviews & strategies, key management personnel, products & process capabilities, IC facility information, and key present and proposed strategic agreements.

Note:   The material is bound in three ring binders. ICE published Company Profiles and Profiles annually. They are different from the Status Reports in that they do not cover the state-of-the-industry but rather the individual companies within the industry.
