                          PURE SILICON

Reference is made to your letter of July 24 addressed
to Mr. Krchma regarding the possibility of expanding sales of XX
Silicon. The list of customers and sales thereto during the war,
inquiries and shipments post war, and a list of possible future
customers is attached herewith. With regard to the latter list,
it is admittedly far from complete. The manufacturers shown do
bring out new developments from time to time and presumably have
staffs of engineers to whom the properties of silicon will be of
interest.

With regard to your question concerning the advisability
of a survey of possible future requirements by a research man,
Mr. Krchma asks me to pass on his reply. The Research Department
agrees with such survey and is willing to assign a man for it.

                                         [signed]
