                            SILICON FOR CT-93

The product from run RZ-66, made for CT-93, has been purified
and analyzed and may now be released. A total of 11.4 pounds of the
purified material was obtained. The description, quantity and analysis
are as follows:

        Code Description Quantity Spectrographic Analysis
                                   Grams Minor Traces
Zn Al Mg Cu Fe Ti Mn
        RTZ-66A 0-6" 172 - - 3 2 - 1 -
        RTZ-66B 6"-36" 903 - - 2 1 - - -
        RTZ-66C 6"-36" scales 187 - - 3 1 - - -
        RTZ-66D 36"-72" 3461 - - 1 3 - - -
        RTZ-66E 36"-72" scales 191 - - 2 3 1 - -
        RTZ-66F Scales, large 292 - 1 2 3 1 - -
                                   5206

RTZ-66E and F quality is doubtful since four tests were neces-
sary before check results were obtained. Different tests indicated
from relatively large amounts to the absence of iron in these two samples.

As formerly decided, we shall exchange 2.33 pounds of RTZ-62
for an equal quantity of RTZ-66. The former is relatively finely divided
and might prove difficult to handle in a melting operation. For this
exchange we plan to use all of RTZ-66B and 154gm. of RTZ-66D. This
material will enter the CT-112B account in the place of the following:

                                     Spectrographic Analysis

Zn Al Mg Cu Fe Ti Mn
        RTZ-62A 186 - 2 2 2 - - -
