                          SILICON INVENTORY

         Will you please record the following disbursements of
elemental silicon:

                     0.179 lbs. to Dr. Michael Newman
                                of Brooklyn Poly. Tech. Inst.

                     3.000 lbs. to United States Bureau of Mines
                                   Salt Lake City

         Will you please charge research account CT-144 for this
material. For the silicon sent to the Bureau of Mines we received
a somewhat larger amount of pure elemental titanium.

         With these deductions, the quantity of silicon on hand
as of this date is 56.664 lbs.
