1. DATA GENERAL
It is extremely difficult to get component managers for in-house facilities. This factor limits Data General Fred Adler's reputation may make it difficult to replace Marshall Cox as President at Intersil. Adler is considered by many in the industry as an "unfriendly" type.

2. ELECTRONIC ARRAYS
Electronic Arrays president, Don Bell, has a program to establish "super technical competence" which Electronic Arrays cannot afford.

3. MICROPROCESSORS
The microprocessor game market is developing rapidly with the IC-microprocessor market "up for grabs."

4. MOTOROLA
Motorola's entry into the citizens band radio is a reversal from the original decision to stay out made many years ago. The present market outlook is indeed encouraging, and the shifting of allocated channels will force some obsolescence, but slowly.

5. GENERAL BUSINESS CONDITIONS
Most of the people we talked to report a growing optimism with respect to semiconductor business. More and more people are reporting new hirings and additional backlog.

6. NATIONAL CALCULATOR
