| Model 101 Watch - 1975 TI number: S00321 This is one of the first commercial models of the electronic watch designed and built by TI. It was also available with a gold tone case and band. The module for the Model 101 watch contained the X-902 IC. The chip design was started in December, 1974; first material was available in early April, 1975, and the first watches were shipped in September, 1975. The LED display was lighted by pressing a button on the side of the watch. A sensor caused a decrease in the display light level when the ambient light level was low. Related material in collection: S00315. |
