Watch - 1974 TI number: S00025 This was one of the first TI watches and was part of a prototype group used for evaluation. This group was built in mid 1974. The original watch module was three function and used the X-830 chip and a 3 1/2 digit LED display made up of seven separate element. Modules were sold to Benrus, however production was stopped in October, 1975, when TI decided not to produce this watch. The module design was to expensive to meet the cost objective; the setting procedure was to complex; and the case was not considered a good consumer item. Related material in collection: S00320. |
