Integrated Circuit ROM - 1979 TI number: G00328 This ROM type was designed and built for use in the TI SPEAK & SPELL. The symbolization in front of the date code identifies the wafer processing facility (Dallas MOS 1) and chip revision. The P indicates that these units were assembled and tested in the Houston prototype line in the 41st week of 1979. The reason for using the prototype line is not known, but it was usually to check a new or revised design or a process change. In this case, it may have been to check the start of this device in DM0S1. (See G00327 production information.) Related material in collection: S00324-5, G00326-7. |
