| Germanium Epitaxial Planar Transistor - 1966 TI number: G00331 This transistor type is a PNP germanium epitaxial planar device designed for microwave applications. It was one of the first, if not the first, transistor of this type built for microwave use. This transistor was developed at TI in early 1965. The experimental type number TIXM101 was assigned in January, 1965. The production devices were designated TIM101 until the specifications were registered with JEDEC, which assigned it type number 2N5043. These two devices have the 611A date code which shows them to be from the first lot of the eleventh week of 1966. |
